Yahoogle Yes - Microhoo No
After previously rejecting Microsoft’s marriage proposal, Yahoo once again rejected Microsoft today saying that they wouldn’t even take Microsoft to the prom. Yahoo wants to be friends, but isn’t interested in dating Microsoft. Showing a brave face with a single tear, Microsoft said, “That’s OK. I don’t need you anyway,” then turned and walked away with it’s chin raised high.
While publicly Yahoo told Microsoft that selling part of their company to Microsoft was not in their best interest, Yahoo told it’s friends the real reason. Yahoo has the hots for Google something terrible, and no one, not even Microsoft, can get that, “I’m in love!” twinkle out of Yahoo’s eyes. When asked why Yahoo thought using Google ads on its network rather than its own ads was in its best interest, Yahoo was heard to say, “Aren’t Google ads just dreamy! I could just sit and stare at them all night.”
Microsoft kept more than it’s dignity as MS shares rose 4.1% today closing at $28.24 per share. Yahoo was not so lucky, as their rejection of Microsoft cost them 10% of their share price today, closing at $23.52. The belle of the ball, Google, did well today, up 1.42% to $552.95.
